Chromatix and ConversionCow recognised at the 2026 Mumbrella Awards (Finalists – Digital and UX Craft)
It was with great delight that Chromatix and ConversionCow were recognised alongside some of Australia and New Zealand’s leading creative and digital work after being named finalists at the 2026 Mumbrella Awards.
The recognition came for Milk Your Website for More Leads, which was shortlisted in the Digital and UX Craft category. The ConversionCow project appeared alongside digital experiences developed for ALDI, Audi, Tourism New Zealand and Bank of Queensland.
The 2026 Mumbrella Awards were held on 23 July 2026 at the Sydney Event Centre at The Star, bringing together agencies, brands, media organisations and creative professionals from across the region.
Spanning 36 categories, the annual awards recognise work across marketing, advertising, media, production, PR and communications.
Chromatix and ConversionCow Named Digital and UX Craft Finalists
The Digital and UX Craft category recognises the strategy, design and execution behind digital experiences that are useful, engaging and effective for customers.
Chromatix was shortlisted for its work on ConversionCow, a website conversion platform designed to help businesses generate more value from their existing website traffic.
The nominated entry, Milk Your Website for More Leads, showcased the strategy, user experience and customer insight behind the platform.
Rather than requiring businesses to rebuild their entire website, ConversionCow uses focused slide-out experiences to communicate important messages, present trust signals and guide visitors towards relevant actions.
Chromatix and ConversionCow were among five finalists in the category:
- ALDIfy: Tasty Trends at ALDI Prices, Digitas with Zenith Media for ALDI
- Audi F1: Feel Every Second, Apparent for Audi
- Come Play for Real in New Zealand, Mindshare with Warner Bros., Mojang and Piki Studios for Tourism New Zealand
- From Complexity to Confidence, Bank of Queensland with Mantel Group and Deloitte
- Milk Your Website for More Leads, Chromatix for ConversionCow
Together, the finalists represented a broad range of digital work, including financial technology, interactive brand experiences, tourism campaigns and website conversion tools.
ALDIfy Wins the Digital and UX Craft Award
The Digital and UX Craft award was presented to Digitas with Zenith Media for ALDI’s ALDIfy: Tasty Trends at ALDI Prices.
ALDIfy is a digital food inspiration platform that identifies emerging food trends and turns them into practical recipes and ALDI shopping lists.
The platform combines cultural trend monitoring, artificial intelligence, digital design and shoppable media to help customers move from online inspiration to preparing a meal.
Chromatix congratulates ALDI, Digitas and Zenith Media on the category win, along with every team recognised across the 2026 shortlist.
A Night Celebrating Australian Creative Talent
Although Chromatix and ConversionCow did not take home the category award, the evening offered a closer look at the depth of talent shaping Australia’s media, marketing and creative industries.
Many of the nominated campaigns were already familiar from television, social media and other digital channels. Seeing the teams behind those campaigns gathered in one room made the scale of strategy, collaboration and craft behind each project much more visible.
Howatson+Company was the most awarded agency of the evening, receiving five trophies. Publicis Groupe was also named the inaugural Holdco of the Year.
Reflecting on the night, Chromatix Co-Founder and Creative Director Irwin Hau said the standard of work left a lasting impression.
“Of course, we would have loved to win for Chromatix and ConversionCow, but congratulations to ALDI, Digitas and Zenith Media on taking out the Digital and UX Craft award.
“I left the evening even more impressed by the level of creativity being produced across Australia and New Zealand.
“I recognised campaigns I had already seen on television and online, then saw the agencies and people behind them gathered in the same room. It gave me a much greater appreciation of the thinking and work behind each one.
“One thing that stood out across many of the winning entries was a deep understanding of the customer, connected touchpoints and ideas that continued delivering after the initial campaign had ended.
“It was a timely reminder that while channels and technology will continue to evolve, understanding people remains one of the strongest competitive advantages a business can have.
“A huge thank you to Mumbrella, the judges and Nina Oyama, who was a brilliant MC.”
Customer Understanding Remains the Common Thread
The recognised projects covered different industries, audiences and channels, but many of the strongest entries shared a similar foundation.
They began with a clear understanding of the customer rather than a particular platform or piece of technology.
They also connected different stages of the customer experience, allowing a central idea to carry consistently across digital, media and physical touchpoints.
The work was built to remain useful beyond its launch. Rather than attracting attention for a brief moment, the strongest ideas were supported by experiences, systems and customer insights that could continue creating value.
That principle is also central to the work behind Chromatix and ConversionCow.
Technology can make an experience faster, more personalised and easier to manage, but it cannot replace a clear understanding of the customer.
Effective digital work starts by identifying what people need to know, what may be stopping them from acting and what will give them the confidence to take the next step.
Recognising the People Behind the Work
An awards ceremony may place the finished campaign or project in the spotlight, but every entry represents the combined work of strategists, designers, developers, writers, marketers, producers, clients and other specialists behind the scenes.
For the Chromatix and ConversionCow teams, being named a finalist was meaningful recognition, particularly alongside projects created for some of the region’s most established agencies and brands.
Chromatix would like to thank the Mumbrella team, the judges who contributed their time and industry experience and Nina Oyama for hosting the evening.
Congratulations to every winner and finalist recognised at the 2026 Mumbrella Awards.
Final Thoughts
The 2026 Mumbrella Awards brought together work currently shaping Australia and New Zealand’s creative, marketing and digital industries.
For Chromatix and ConversionCow, being named a Digital and UX Craft finalist was a proud milestone. It also provided an opportunity to represent an independently developed Australian digital product alongside major brands, agencies and campaigns.
The evening reinforced a principle that remains relevant regardless of the platform or technology involved.
The tools will continue to change, but the strongest ideas will always begin with a genuine understanding of people.
